Islands will be reset at midnight GMT+1, August 31st, 2010
Just as a note here from the moderator team. We will be coming down on multis hard from day one. Not much room for cheaters any more. If 2 of you have a good reason to be on the same ip address, contact a moderator right away with the details.

How exactly does the reset work?
I assume that we don't keep the same village, but do we keep all the runes etc that we've built up?
Or does it all get completely wiped, and then we have to start from scratch?

Yes that is correct. Everyone starts new and even.
The page link to get there is the same. You will end up re-registering (signing up again). Just as if it was a new server.
Blast! I was building up a nice little corner.
Oh well, at least I'll know more about what I'm doing this time. 
I have a question for all Island lovers.
Do you feel one month is just right, two or three would be better? Think about it - we will have a survey on this in the next few days.

i vote 3 months at least. 1 month is way too short i think.

Yeah I get that...that's why I put 'stable type scenario'....I know it's not stable....

3 months but not longer seems ideal to me seeing as people need to island hop to get where they are going.
I think three months is just right. Also keep the speed the same.
well, it's just that to get to the "good" equipment, it takes time and a lot of iron. by the time the boys get all ready to go kill stuff... time's up. reset
i agree with bowser, keep the speed the same please.
