Thema: HONOUR BUG NO LOSS

We have a bug that allows large op's to atatck small villages without loss.
a player's op worth 12700 v a player's main worth 8200 with no loose runes gets attacked without honour loss.
That is just 1 example, another is a main attacks a village and he would loose 23 honour points an op of greater value attacks the same looses 4 honour points.

If this is not fixed the game will fall apart and it has to be fixed fast, it was reported in Bowsers forum but nothing has happend.

Please post evidence here.

Re: HONOUR BUG NO LOSS

Here are some facts:

Veronica's Hunting Park, outpost of Tyrania
Point Value = 12170
Build Value = 10170
339 runes spent on build, 339*30 = 10170

lower limit of village value VHP can attack without honor loss = 10170/1.25 = 8136

Tyrania
Point Value=15510
15510/1.25=12408 is the lower limit value of a village Tyrania can attack without honor loss.

Tyrania has now consumed 655 runes
If all those runes had been spent on Tyrania as a war village it would have a point value of
19850

(655*30)+200=19850

19850/1.25=15880 would be the lower limit value village Tyrania could attack without honor loss.

But Tyrania has spent runes to build two Outposts
108 runes to build VHP. 108 * 30 = 3240 points
and another 130 runes to build VWC, another 3900 points

Tyrania has a an actual build value of 12710 or 417 runes spent on Farms, Barracks. Iron mines etc...
Now WHAT would you suggest doing with those points that contribute nothing to the village in war capability but do add significantly to the point value.

If ALL 7140 points were added to Tyrania's value it would have the build value of 12710, could be attacked by any village without honor loss under 25k and would be unable to attack any target under 16k without honor loss.

Instead the devs have decided to split the points used to build the op between the main village and the OP. 1240 points are added to the main for the first OP and 2000 are added to the OP but are not calculated against the OP for honor loss.

Re: HONOUR BUG NO LOSS

The devs need to work on communicating the above written by Tyranicus.  There are too many players within this game who do not know this and yet continue to whine that people are not playing fairly.  It's getting tiring.

Re: HONOUR BUG NO LOSS

When we save up runes from battles, buying, or destroying some of our own buildings to get that coveted outpost, we all expect to be able to hit a new "crop" of players. that is the advantage of all that hard work because once our main's reach a certain size, the targets become very limited. But because many send their waters to their outposts and discard the others, this makes a super-outpost.  Not only is it Aqua-enhanced, but it ALSO has that 2000 pt cushion to hit little players. Just look at everyone's outposts. lots of stables and very little of anything else. Why bother when you can just build a large warehouse and have others, or your main, send it what it needs. We are ALL smart enough to know this, do this, and take advantage of this. Everyone must be willing to give this up if changes are made...

Not bad if we are milking those inactives that played and quit, but when we attack an active's main that simply has the same value or even less, it becomes... questionable.

2 suggestions if changes are needed:

#1 outposts can only attack other outposts. (would be difficult if there were none your size at the time you started yours) but your main can feed it runes and the outpost can do runes searches for a while to get to a value where it has targets.

#2 make an outpost have to keep a proportionate amount of all the types of runes so it's not water-logged. for instance, it can not add any more water once the water is 10% higher than the lowest used rune. then we have to build up that lowest rune before another water can be upgraded or built.

Re: HONOUR BUG NO LOSS

Good post Mel. Outpost definitely have become little war machines. Maybe limit runes being allowed to be sent down or ban them outright. Can still send resources and your own troops to help defend the OP

Re: HONOUR BUG NO LOSS

The problem with OP's is not the ease with which you can send runes down to them. A properly built OP can get its own runes through raiding AND rune searches with constant resource injections from the main village, clan mates etc. In fact one frustrating thing about OP's is that runes can stack up in them much faster than they can be consumed. OP's can then be used as a clan rune factory once a rune ladder is set up for distribution. In short, OP's further aggravate the endemic structural problems of concentrating POWER in the hands of a few dominant players/clans.

Re: HONOUR BUG NO LOSS

Well then we should just deny the ability to send resources and runes. Make it like you are starting over with a new village. This way others can attack it and the fight can be fair. The advantage being you can send troops to assist defend it. BUT I would add in that the village would have to be 25 to 50L away from the main body so that if you do chose to assist one of your villages it leaves a window open for attack of the other...

Re: HONOUR BUG NO LOSS

Me and Milan are looking into it.
Will be resolved... soonish.
Sorry for the delays.

Re: HONOUR BUG NO LOSS

So, to repeat, milan and I are indeed looking for another way to handle this. As explained by tyranicus, this is not a bug but a "feature". But this will probably be changed soon.

Re: HONOUR BUG NO LOSS

Okay, so our proposal so far is this:
Instead of making the honour village based (as it is now) we would make the honour calculation based on all runes the player has. Right now it's village against village, which is obviously not a good thing.

However, by making the honour calculation honour based, it would become a lot harder to build and maintain an OP! Big players would be able to attack OP's without losing honour.

I think this could become an interesting situation, since OP's would have to be protected. But I'd like to now what you guys think.
