It's a game
chat room is not some social discussion thing, want to have in depth conversation with other people who share interests other then this game go look for some self-help forum

Anything that ruins the game experience (broadest sense of the words) should not be in chat, we're not talking single words here, if someone says he's been an ass or he fucked up that's okay.
When some player is calling an other player a fuck-up and tells him to piss off there's measures taken.

Anything can be discussed, but since it's a chatroom ment for gamers it's not a good thing by having it poluted by trolls and haters, therefore some issues are better to be discussed on this forum then in chat.

Freedom of speech, use it well and it's a powerfull weapon, use it wrong and you'll be a mute!!

I agree with freedom of speech however with this game allowing children under 18 there I'd feel some very extreme words could at least be filtered out. I am not meaning smaller minor words but words no one should say in front of anyone. I am sure I shouldn't have to mention which words.

But as you've asked others earlier, to take a deep breath and think before acting... well, so should more people.
And since chat is supposed to be a fun place, a place where we all should come and have a good time (without being confronted with some issues) i think there should be some words that are not expressed in any way and some topics that should be avoided.
This takes a human touch, sometimes the touch isn't too gentle, darned... life isn't fair!
(we're doing our best to make this game a fair and good place you know )

Anyways, it's easy to insult someone and be a major pain in the ass to a player or a moderator, that could ruin that persons gameexperience, we're trying to avoid that.

Now if we cross a line somewhere i would suggest to contact a moderator.
There's 3 of us and we're all online a lot.
Most of us log the chat as well and we're not here to check on players only.
We're also here to make players feel they can trust us, we check on eachothers actions to make sure it's all legit, not cause we don't trust eachother (cause we do) but so we can assure everyone that there is NEVER any personal issue hidden behind any action!

So i voted that No, chat is not and should not be censored.
But it should be moderated and looked after, after all, it's kids that come inhere as well!
(and i do believe any language shown on youtube or regular daytime tv is allowed inhere)
